Me, on Halloween night, after several parties, in the bathroom with my camera on a timer, taking loads of pictures.
Captain Holly Short of Artemis Fowl.
I'd just finished reading the series and felt an implosion of Good Gawd, wanted to pay tribute in some way. I was going between three costumes at the time before my uncle picked his: he was going to be an old man, which included loads of make-up. I'd bought spray-on-hair-color as well, and realized at the last minute I could use it and be a red head. And then, I was struck!
As a Blasian, there are only a few people I can be for Halloween without stretching it too far. And, at the time, there were only two girls I could think of that had red hair. Ed and Holly. I was not going to run around without shoes, in biker shorts and a cut-off shirt that night, so I picked Holly.
I have this jean-short-one-piece-club-outfit that was only a few points away from being practical, and green sweat outfit. After the hair, I went about changing clothes, found a golden monkey necklace! and put on my dad's boots. I was ready. I even took the time to write, in Elvish now, Holly's rank and name; you can see the glare on the tape.
So.
Yeah.
No one knew who I was, but hey.
I love the way my hair looks in red! Have no idea who or what I was looking at (probably a cat). I would normally say I was smirking but I think it's more of a smile this time.
You look good. Blasian huh? You look like you're Japanese. But yeah, being blasian is awesome but hard to dress up. You're too asian to play black chars and too black to play asian chars >.>
this is epic win. you really look like her! awesome!
